Dozens gathered in Hampstead to remember veterans

Dozens of people gathered at the Hampstead gazebo to remember veterans, and all that they have done to create and maintain our country’s freedom.

During the ceremony, Prisoners of War were remembered with an empty chair. Veterans were remembered with floral wreaths. Poems were read and speakers recognized the men and women who served in the U.S. Armed Forces during all wars and conflicts.

This is the 19th consecutive Veterans Day ceremony conducted by the American Legion Post 167 in Hampstead.

They plan to continue the tradition for years to come.
