Drive-by shooting on Red Cross Street
A drive-by shooting in broad daylight ends with a teenager behind bars.
Seventeen-year-old Lewis Hines faces seven serious charges. Wilmington Police said what started as a dispute involving a family member, ended with Hines firing shots as he drove away from the 600 block of Red Cross Street. It happened around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
No one got hurt, but at least two bullets hit an occupied van in a driveway.
Police said Hines was driving a stolen red Toyota Camry. Police also said he got out and ran, but they caught him a few blocks away.
