Driver identified in deadly crash involving taxi

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The man who police said crashed into a taxi overnight in Wilmington and died has been identified.

Police said Keagan Hartzell, 22, crashed head-on into a taxi in the 2600-block of Market Street around 3 a.m. Sunday and died. Police believe speed and alcohol were factors in the crash.

The taxi driver and passengers were hurt but should be OK, police said.
