Dudley Mansion’s scheduled events must end at 10 p.m.

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington City Council voted in favor of the court’s ruling about parties at the Dudley Mansion.

The city claimed the owner of the Dudley Mansion, Ron Pickett, was violating a city ordinance by running his home as a business in a residential area in July. A judge told the Picketts they could hold the scheduled weddings, but they would have to stop advertising and booking the home until the matter was fully resolved.

City Council voted Tuesday night in favor of letting the seven remaining events go on as scheduled at the mansion as long as the events end at 10 p.m.
