Duke lacrosse investigator charged with harassing wife

DOVER, DEL. (AP) — The former lead investigator in a debunked rape case against members of the Duke University lacrosse team now faces charges himself in Delaware for allegedly stalking and harassing his estranged wife. North Carolina resident Linwood Wilson has been charged with one felony count of stalking, seven misdemeanor counts of harassment and five misdemeanor counts of criminal contempt in Delaware’s Kent County Superior Court.

According to court documents, Wilson allegedly mailed his estranged wife a copy of a sex tape they made and threatened to make it public. He’s also accused of posting fake online ads soliciting sex in the woman’s name.

Wilson has pleaded not guilty and says he’s innocent, according to his attorney. The case is scheduled to go to trial in October.
