Early morning shooting sends woman to hospital

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police are investigating a Sunday morning shooting that sent a woman to the hospital.

According to witnesses, two people were shooting at each other on S. 9th Street around 2:30 a.m. Spokeswoman Cathryn Lindsay said a 50-year-old woman was grazed in the leg by a bullet and taken to the hospital. Lindsay said a home and car on Queen Street were both struck multiple times by bullets.

No arrests have been made at this time.
