Early Voting ends Saturday

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — If you wish to cast your vote before Election Day, you only have one more day to do so. Early Voting ends Saturday.

So far, officials said there have been more than 20,000 early votes in New Hanover County. During the last mid-term election in 2010, Early Voting in the county totaled 23,025.

The number of registered voters in New Hanover County are up according to the Board of Elections. Since 2010, about 15,000 more people have registered to vote.

“We are only 191 square miles and second smallest in the state geographically, but registration wise we are about eighth,” New Hanover County Elections Director Marvin McFadyen.

Polls will be open on Election Day, Nov. 4, from 6:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m.
