Early voting down from 2008 primary

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Across the state, about 170,000 people voted early ahead of tomorrow’s election. That’s about a third the number who took advantage of one stop voting during the presidential primary two years ago.

New Hanover County had 4,256 early voters. In Bladen County almost 3,959 voters went to the polls early. Brunswick County had about 4,726 early voters. In Columbus County, 2,015 ballots have already been cast. And in Pender County had about 1,394 voters took advantage of one stop voting.
