Earth Fare to anchor Renaissance Market project near Mayfaire

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Another new grocery store is ready to enter the Wilmington market.

Developers announced today that Earth Fare will anchor the Renaissance Market project across from Mayfaire Town Center at the northeast corner of Military Cutoff and Sir Tyler Drive.

According to Trask Land Company and Harbour Retail Partners, the 22,700-square-foot organic grocery store will be the biggest piece of the more than 45,000-square-foot complex. The companies say the project will also include West Marine and Blaze Pizza.

“We are thrilled to bring a unique set of tenants to a thoughtfully designed center,” Trask Land Company President Raiford Trask III said in a statement. “Over the years we’ve been patient about master planning the Renaissance corridor to create a mix of uses including office, hospitality, and residential. We intentionally saved the heart of the watermelon for a specialty retail center like Renaissance Market and excited about creating a shopping environment that fits the coastal nature of Wilmington.”

Trask Land Company and Harbour Retail Partners say construction should begin next month with a grand opening late this year.

Earth Fare is an Asheville-based organic grocery chain with 45 locations in 10 states.

West Marine will locate from its current location in Lumina Commons, the release said.

Blaze Pizza has more than 200 stores in 32 states.
