Edwards faults Clinton on foreign policy
IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) — Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards is accusing rival Hillary Clinton of a two-faced foreign policy.
The former North Carolina senator is telling supporters in Iowa today Clinton has failed to do enough to stop what he says is President Bush’s march to war with Iran.
Edwards told a group at the University of Iowa today that Clinton is voting like a hawk in Washington, while talking like a dove in Iowa and New Hampshire.
He says Clinton was wrong to vote in Congress to declare Iran’s Revolutionary Guard a terrorist organization. He says the vote gives President Bush an excuse to threaten Iran and could lead to an attack on the country.
Clinton has said she was voting for increased diplomacy in the area.
