Elderly woman attacked, Old Wilmington Association offering reward

WILMINGTON — Outraged Wilmington residents are doing something about the brutal attack on a 95-year-old woman Saturday morning.

The attack happened on Nun Street.

Friday afternoon residents of Old Wilmington announced a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect.

The attacked the woman when she walked out to the sidewalk to get her newspaper.

As the victim recovers neighbors are rallying on her behalf. Residents of the Old Wilmington Association passed out sketches of the suspect this afternoon.

Today’s reward is totally separate from the cash reward offered a few days ago.
