WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Voters in New Hanover County got out to the polls bright and early this morning.
Poll workers and voters say that it wasn’t a huge turnout early in the day, but that traffic at the polls is steady.
Electioneers were busy drumming up last-minute support for their candidates. They are excited to see so many voters taking the primaries seriously.
“I’ve been there since 6:30 this morning, and I’ll be here until 7:30 this evening,” Francine Decoursey said as she talked to voters outside a Wilmington polling location. “I’ve been pleased to see a pretty steady turnout.
