Elizabethtown Driver License Office closing ahead of move

ELIZABETHTOWN, NC (WWAY) — The North Carolina Department of Transportation says the Elizabethtown Driver License Office will temporarily close Thursday ahead of the to move to its new location at 197 N. Pine St. It will reopen Monday at 8 a.m.

The office, located at Gillespie Street for more than 35 years, is moving to the new location because its lease expired, DOT said in a news release.

The new office will continue to have the same phone number, (910) 862-3169, and will be open Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

NCDMV now offers driver license renewals and many other services online. Customers are encouraged to check the official NCDMV website and click “Online Services” to see if their driver license needs can be met online.

During the Elizabethtown closure, customers who need in-office services can visit other offices located in the region:

Clinton – 305 North Blvd., (910) 592-5820

Lumberton – 4650 Kahn Dr., (910) 618-5551

Whiteville – 917 Washington St., (910) 642-2017
