Enjoy live music and short films at ‘From the River to the Ocean’ this weekend
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Cameron Art Museum and Cucalorus Film Festival are teaming up with an award-winning composer this weekend for a special screening event.
On Sunday, ‘From the River to the Ocean’ will feature short films accompanied by live music. The event is at 2 p.m. at Cameron Art Museum in Wilmington. The music will be performed by Rozalind MacPhail.
MacPhail is a multi-instrumentalist and and a composer/filmmaker who will play the flute to create a visual portrait on CAM’s big screen. Collaborating with filmmakers inspired by their connections to Wilmington, this event also features stunning films from MacPhail’s travels and an opportunity to see part of the 1947 film “Wilmington, My Hometown”. The works of filmmakers Josh Caine, Matt Malloy, Matt Gossett, Mandi Edwards and Shona Thomson will also be shown.
