Enrollment is up at CFCC

With or without illegal immigrants – Cape Fear Community College is bursting at the seams.

Enrollment has reached a record high this semester.

Registration is up almost 10 percent with more than 7,000 students enrolled.

Today was the last day to register, and some students waited for hours, hoping to get into certain classes.

CFCC spokesman David Hardin said enrollment usually goes up when the economy goes down.
