Escaped inmate back behind bars

An inmate who escaped from the Bladen Correctional Center in Elizabethtown Tuesday morning is back behind bars.

Thirty-two-year-old Hieu Bui walked away from his dorm and scaled a fence around 11:30 a.m. He was serving a six-month misdemeanor sentence for communicating threats.

Police caught him shortly after 5:00 p.m. Bui was scheduled to be released in late October.

There is no word on any additional charges he may now face.
