Etheridge, Vilsack make final push for Obama

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — US Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack and former North Carolina Rep. Bob Etheridge teamed up to stump for President Obama’s reelection. The two made a stop this afternoon at Obama campaign headquarters in Wilmington.

Rep. Etheridge says he expects the race between the president and Republican Mitt Romney to be a close race in our battleground state.

“It was close last time. It amounted to only five votes per precinct, and what I would say to folks is go vote. It’s important,” Etheridge said.

Etheridge and Vilsack made several stops throughout the state today in support of the president.
