Fair Bluff to hold new election

The town of Fair Bluff will have to hold a new election. That was the decision Thursday by the State Board of Elections after some of the folks who cast ballots in the November election admitted they did not actually live in the town limits.

The new election will be for only the mayor’s office. Chris Scott beat incumbent Mayor Randy Britt by just two votes last month.

Columbus County elections officials should know soon when the new election will be.
