Families enjoy ‘Movie on the Lake’ as summer winds down

CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) — Summer is winding down and for many students in our area that means just a few more days of vacation until school’s back in session.

At Carolina Beach, families came out tonight to enjoy one of the summer’s last Movie on the Lake showings. While many families are shopping for school supplies, the Burgess family is visiting from South Carolina and enjoying the last days of their beach vacation before their daughter starts preschool.

“We’re gonna go down to the aquarium and do some fun stuff like that,” We just enjoy the fun. She really enjoyed the little rides at the pavilion and just good coffee, good food.”

Carolina Beach will show its last movie for the summer next Sunday, August 28.
