Family of parasailing accident victim turns to federal court
The family of one of the women killed in an August parasailing accident off Ocean Isle Beach is turning to federal court for help.
Cynthia Woodcock’s family wants permission to file a state suit against Ocean Isle Beach Watersports. They also want the suit to be tried before the court decides whether to grant the company’s motion to limit or eliminate its liability in the deaths.
Woodcock and Lorrie Shoup died after the rope tying them to a boat broke August 28th, sending them into the water.
