Felt like a Pop Warner championship game in Ogden; Cowboys edge Eagles

OGDEN, NC (WWAY) — We heard two undefeated Pop Warner 10-11 year old football teams would be going head to head on Tuesday night at Ogden Park in New Hanover County. The game even exceeded its pregame billing. The undefeated Coastal Cowboys scored late in the 4th quarter to beat the previously undefeated Eagles 8-6. It was a low-scoring affair, but the atmosphere was electric with WWAY’s Trot Nixon lending a helping hand. Nixon is an assistant coach for the Wilmington based Coastal Cowboys.
