Festival wraps up week of inter-cultural events
The 16th Annual Inter-Cultural Festival on UNCW’s campus culminated a week’s worth of events celebrating our differences.
The festival was an opportunity to view cultures from around the world without ever having to get on a plane. Dozens set up tables to share food and information about their country and even more performed to showcase cultural pride.
“Part of being a global citizen is accepting differences, embracing differences, it’s crucial. The most wonderful thing is that everybody here today is celebrating those differences and wants to partake on them,” said Denise DiPuccio.
This free event was aimed at encouraging the community to understand diversity.
