Fight leads to multiple people shot at park in Winston-Salem

WINSTON-SALEM, NC — Police say several individuals, both victims and suspects, have been identified and found following a shooting at Leinbach Park on Monday. Police say some of those individuals involved are juveniles.

Police say a shooting near Leinbach Park on Monday morning started as a planned fight between young people and quickly escalated into gunfire, leaving multiple people injured and suspects still on the run.

The Winston-Salem Police Department says officers were called to the area of Leinbach Park around 9:52 a.m. on April 20 after reports of a fight. While officers were responding, the situation escalated into multiple people shooting at each other.
