Final PNC bank robbery suspect arrested in Charlotte
CHARLOTTE, NC (WWAY) — The last suspect wanted for the armed bank robbery at PNC Bank in Lumberton is now behind bars.
According to the FBI, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s SWAT team arrested Demetrius Sean Robinson, of Whiteville, at 9914 Clairemore Place around 12:30 this afternoon.
Robinson was taken to the police department to be interviewed by FBI Agents and will likely be transported to the Cumberland County Detention Center over the weekend.
Robinson is currently being held on a federal detainer.
The Robeson County District Attorney’s Office charged Robinson last week with the following state charges:
10 counts of Attempted Murder
5 counts of Kidnapping
6 counts of Shooting at an Occupied Vehicle
1 count of Robbery with a Deadly Weapon
1 count of Conspiracy to Robbery with a Deadly Weapon
1 count of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
With his arrest, all of the men linked to the PNC Bank Robbery on January 23 are in custody.
