Fire marshal investigates vehicle fire

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — New Hanover County firefighters are investigating a vehicle fire that started in the woods near Laney High School early Monday morning.

Dispatchers got a call just after 6:30 a.m. about a vehicle on fire in the woods near College Road.

The fire was quickly extinguished, and crews are investigating the incident.

No word on what caused the fire.
