Fire sends one person to hospital with burns

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington firefighters responded this morning to a house fire at 1317 Audobon Drive. A fire department spokesman says a person in the house suffered minor burns. Crews took that person to New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

The fire department says firefighter were able to knock down the flames quickly. Investigators say a cigarette started the fire.
