FIRST ON 3: Commissioner Berger’s house in foreclosure, to be auctioned off

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — New Hanover County Commissioner Brian Berger’s house is being foreclosed according to a notice posted this week in the Lumina News. It will also be auctioned off at the New Hanover County Courthouse on May 29 at 10 a.m.

Berger’s ex-girlfriend, Karyn Crichton, is also named in the notice as an owner of the house. Berger lives in the house by himself. No word on where he will move to after the auction.

He’s reportedly been unemployed since taking office, but he says he does work out of his house as a consultant.

Berger has not yet returned an e-mail for comment.
