FIRST ON 3: Danny McBride busts his butt shooting scene for ‘Eastbound & Down’

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The star of a hit TV series filmed in Wilmington was injured while filming today.

A fun day of filming at Jellybeans skating rink off Oleander Drive turned sour when actor Danny McBride got hurt.

A Jellybeans spokesperson confirms that the actor, who plays main character Kenny Powers, was injured while skating. He was taken to the ER at Cape Fear Hospital, where he was later released, according to the hospital.

TMZ reports McBride told the entertainment site, “I busted my (butt) on roller skates. The roller skates won.”
