FIRST ON 3: Grandfather charged in case of baby mauled by dogs

BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The grandfather of a nine-day-old girl mauled to death by dogs has been charged with involuntary manslaughter.

Nelson Ernest Camerino, 49, was taken into arrested Tuesday morning at his residence located on N. College Street in Clarkton according to the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office. He is in the Bladen County Jail under a $150,000 secured bond. A special grand jury called just for this case indicted Cameron last week.

Nine-day-old Addyson Camerino died after being attacked by a dog or dogs at her family’s home August 30.

Friday, her mother, Chelsea Lynn Brigman, was arrested for involuntary manslaughter after the special grand jury indicted her.
