FIRST ON 3: New Hanover detectives give asst. principal investigation to Pender County

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The New Hanover County Sheriff has turned over an investigation into a high school assistant principal to Pender County.

Robin Lamberty has been on paid leave from her job at Laney High School since May 31 after allegations of an inappropriate relationship with a student. Detectives say they have not found evidence of any crime happening in New Hanover County.

They’ve given the investigation to Pender County, where Lamberty lives.
