FIRST ON 3: UNCW trustees approve tuition, fee hike

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Going to UNCW next year may cost more. The Board of Trustees this afternoon approved a 6.5 percent increase in tuition. That translates to about $197 more a year for in-state undergrads starting in July.

Student fees would also go up. That means a total student cost increase of 3.8 percent.

The hike is not a done deal yet. The UNC Board of Governors must approve it first.
