FIRST ON 3: Pender Co. Manager narrows down possible health dept. investigators

BURGAW, NC (WWAY) — An update to a story you saw First on 3: The Pender County Manager has found two agencies that could investigate the county’s health department.

This comes after employees say health department administrators ignored notices that some employees were using drugs, violating confidentiality practices and not properly training workers. The employees say administrators threatened to fire them if they talked to county commissioners or the media.
