FIRST ON 3: PPD building damaged after water leak

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) – A major water pipe into the PPD Headquarters building burst Sunday night, flooding the first floor and damaging the second.

Sue Ann Pentecost, the Associate Director of Corporate Communications, tells us crews have been working around the clock since the leak to clean up the mess.

Some of the workers on those two floors had to be relocated to other offices in the building, but she says the company is up and running as usual.
