FIRST ON 3: Tom’s Drug building sold

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A local landmark is off the market. The old Tom’s Drugs building on Front Street has been for sale since December. Recently the family who owns Village Market on 2nd and Dock Streets bought it. They say they plan on turning the Tom’s Drug building in to a small scale grocery store. The Village Market will become a specialty meat shop.

Tom’s Drugs closed in 2007 after 75 years in business.
