First baby born at new hospital given scholarship

The first baby born at New Hanover Regional’s brand new Women’s and Children’s Hospital received an important check today.

Zachary Ryan Justice, the new baby, was awarded a $5,000 scholarship from the hospital he was born at Sunday in the new Betty H. Cameron Women and Children’s Hospital, the same day it opened.

It is the Justice family’s third child.

Crystal Justice, mother of the new baby said, “I never thought this would happen. I just expected to have my baby and be done. It’s very exciting.”

The money will gain interest in an investment account. Baby Zachary weighs 7 pounds 3 ounces.
