Fitness boot camp shaping bodies outside the gym

There’s a new fitness program in town that can help you get fit without going to the gym.

The program is called “Personalized Health and Alternative Training.” The group says its fitness boot camps put people on the fast track to fitness.

Trainers use circuit training with several levels of modifications so people of all ages will get an intense workout for their fitness level.

The program is made to bring boot camp classes to an area close to you.

Fitness boot camp president Derk Holmes said, “We try to make sure they get their fitness. It’s fast — all you have to do is show up. We make it easy to show up and it’s a quick 45 minute workout. Generally our boot camp lasts eight weeks.”

The classes are now being help at Halyburton Park, Wrightsville Beach, Ogden and downtown Wilmington.

Four weeks of boot camp fitness classes cost $80.
