Five wanted for Columbus County home invasion, robbery

COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Five people are wanted for a home invasion and robbery in Columbus County.

It happened over the weekend at a home in the 3000 block of Cherry Grove Road in Cerro Gordo.

The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office says four men and a woman forced their way into a home.

Two teens and a 40-year-old man were inside at the time.

Deputies say the three victims were held at gunpoint while the suspects demanded money.

They allegedly took clothes and a wallet and then took off.

No one was injured.
