Flights back on time at Wilmington International Airport

It is back to normal at ILM airport this morning. Thanks to rough weather up north, some folks had a difficult time getting to their holiday destinations this weekend.

Many flights were either cancelled or delayed because of snow. Sunday things started to get better with ILM experiencing little to no delays. Flights departing to Philadelphia were backed up about an hour.

Officials said flights had been playing catch up since the snow starting falling in the northeast on Friday. Some people said they prepared for annual holiday airport delays, and had a Plan B.

Shirley Furjanic is flying to Pennsylvania and said, “I already let my boss know that I might not be into work on Monday, because I knew Sunday would be a bad travel day.”

Luckily those stuck at the Wilmington airport didn’t feel harsh delays like larger airports in the northeast did. In Boston, delays at Logan Airport were up to two hours.

ILM officials say all flights out of the airport are on time so far this morning.
