BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — It will be at least next week before students in Bladen County can go back to school.

The district says it is asking for guidance from the State Superintendent to determine if the days out of school will need to be made up at a later time and what the protocol and procedures are for a declared State of Emergency.

Many roads in Bladen County have been blocked and even washed away by flood waters. Thousands of people are still without power. Some schools have also been used as emergency shelters in the county.
