Flu shot express clinics begin in Carolina Beach

CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) – For the next two Fridays, the MinuteClinic inside the CVS at Carolina Beach will hold one-day express clinics for flu vaccinations.

The express clinics will be at the Dow Road location tomorrow and again on Friday, September 30. During the clinics, additional providers will be on hand to administer flu shots and to expedite the patient vaccination process.

The MinuteClinic says it offers flu vaccinations, including the standard season vaccine and the high-dose versions for seniors, seven days a week with no appointment needed. They are available at no cost through most insurance plans, including Medicare Part B.

MinuteClinic can provide flu shots to children 18 months and up, adolescents, adults and seniors.

The flu shot express clinics are Friday between 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. and Friday, September 30 from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m.
