Food Lion shopper wins $25,000!

What would you do with $25,000? A Leland woman gets to decide that. She is the winner of a nation-wide grocery giveaway at Food Lion.

Carol Lynn was given 10 contest tickets when she paid for groceries a couple weeks ago. The second ticket was a winner! Lynn says she’s surprised she hasn’t fainted yet.

“I really don’t have words to explain it,” says Lynn. “I’ve never had this much money in my hands before. It’s going to help tremendously because now I don’t have to worry about having to wait to have a kid. So hopefully in the near future, I’ll have a baby to share it with.”

Along with money to now have a baby, Lynn plans to use the cash to pay off her husband’s car and put the rest in the bank.
