Foot chase lands deputy in hospital
A New Hanover County deputy has been released from the hospital after injuring his knee chasing down an alleged dead-beat dad.
The deputy spotted Robert Bernard King, seen here, earlier today and attempted to arrest him. King took off, and the deputy chased him until he suffered a knee injury that landed him in Cape Fear Hospital.
King has two outstanding child support warrants and is now wanted for resisting arrest. The sheriff’s office is still looking for King, so anyone with information should call 910-798-4200.
