Former Brunswick commissioner Warren drops lawsuit

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Former Brunswick County Commissioner Charles Warren has dropped his lawsuit against other commissioners and county staff.

Warren sent the US District Court Clerk a letter filed March 29 requesting the suit be dropped and thanking the clerk’s office for their help with the matter.

Warren based his suit on claims of public embarrassment and violations of personnel system laws.

Reached by phone this afternoon, Warren would not comment on his decision to withdraw the suit.
