Former SBI agent pleads guilty to stealing campaign signs

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — We have an update on Jay Floyd, the SBI agent indicted for allegedly stealing campaign signs.

He has pleaded guilty to the crime.

Floyd was ordered to pay a $200 fine, court costs, and complete community service for misdemeanor littering.

In April, Floyd stole signs belonging to a candidate running for Pender County Sheriff.

Floyd lost his job in late June for unacceptable personal conduct.
