Walker Jenkins, former South Brunswick star gets called up to MLB by Minnesota Twins

MINNEAPOLIS, MN (WWAY) — The Minnesota Twins are reportedly calling up former South Brunswick star Walker Jenkins to the major leagues, according to the MLB’s X page.
The 21-year-old outfielder was selected by the Twins out of South Brunswick High School with the fifth overall pick in the 2023 MLB Draft.
Jenkins was promoted to the Twins’ Triple-A affiliate, the St. Paul Saints, in August 2025.
While playing for the South Brunswick Cougars, Jenkins won back-to-back Gatorade North Carolina Baseball Player of the Year awards during his junior and senior seasons.
