Walker Jenkins, former South Brunswick star gets called up to MLB by Minnesota Twins

MINNEAPOLIS, MN (WWAY) — The Minnesota Twins are reportedly calling former South Brunswick star, Walker Jenkins, up to the major leagues, according to the MLB’s X page.

The former South Brunswick High School was drafted straight out of school by the Twins as the 5th overall draft pick in 2023 at just 20 years old.

Jenkins was promoted to the Twins’ AAA team, the St. Paul Saints back in 2025.

While playing for the South Brunswick Cougars, the outfielder won back-to-back Gatorade Player of the Year awards his junior and senior year.
