Former Marine still seeking justice for those exposed to contaminated water

A White Lake dad said he is still seeking justice for his dead daughter and thousands of others exposed to contaminated water at Camp Lejeune.

Retired Marine Jerry Ensminger testified before Congress for the second time last week.
It was exactly one year after he testified against the Marine Corps for contaminating drinking water at Camp Lejeune between 1957 and 1987.

Ensminger said it was an example of what can happen when EPA programs fail the public.
He claims chemicals in the water killed his daughter Janey.
Ensmingter said, “It’s hell. Janey went through hell. And all those that loved her, we went right through hell with her.”

Janey was diagnosed with Leukemia in 1982 when she was six and died three years later.
A spokesperson for the Marine Corps said that they acknowledge that the water was contaminated. The Corps are waiting to find out results of a study to determine if the exposure and health conditions are linked.
