Former UNCW hoops coach out at DePaul

The first coach to take UNCW basketball to the post-season is looking for work. DePaul fired Jerry Wainwright today after four-and-a-half seasons. His Blue Demons have lost 22 straight Big East games, including their first three this season.

Wainwright coached UNCW from 1994 to 2002. He took the Seahawks to the NCAA tournament in 2000 and 2002 before leaving for Richmond. He moved on to DePaul in 2005.
