Four charged in Wilmington drug bust
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A spokeswoman with the Wilmington Police Department said four men are facing charges after a two-month-long drug investigation.
Police said the arrests happened in the early morning hours on Wednesday at a home in the 400 block of Clay Street. Police said more than $8,000, a stolen handgun, more than 500 bags of heroin, more than 12 grams of crack, 30 Xanax pills and more than five grams of marijuana were found at the home during a search warrant.
D’Marcus Hooper, 41, Titus Damon, 21, Jamarcus Damon, 19, and William Murphy, 19, were arrested. Hooper faces the most charges including heroin trafficking and manufacturing/sell/deliver within 1,000 feet of a school/daycare. He’s in jail under a $1,000,000 bond. Titus Damon is facing several drug charges, while Jamarcus Damon is facing a firearm charge. Both Damons are in jail under a $250,000 bond, along with Murphy who is also facing a firearm charge.
