Four new hotels planned for Brunswick County

BRUNSWICK COUNTY — Brunswick County may be giving Wilmington’s hotel industry some competition, with four hotels on the way within the next year.

Developers are planning four new hotels along the US 17 corridor. Two have received municipal approval and expect to break ground within the next few months.

The proposals are for a Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites in Waterford, a Comfort Suites in Magnolia Greens, a Best Western in Westgate and a Hampton Inn in Brunswick Forest.
