Fourth suspect in teen’s murder appears in court

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The fourth man accused in the drive-by murder of a Wilmington teen made his first appearance in court this morning.

Shaquan Lannell Palmer, 22, was arrested last week in Greensboro. He’s facing first degree murder charges in the killing of Shane Simpson, 16. 

In court Monday, a judge ordered for Palmer to remain in jail under no bond.

This isn’t the first time Palmer has been in the news for Wilmington shootings. He was charged in 2013 in connection with a shooting in Creekwood.

Palmer’s next court date is March 10.
